Chatham Nursery School
Chatham Nursery School wishes to thank parents and carers for your patience in these trying times.
It is difficult for us all to keep up with the changes!
Due to the corona virus pandemic we have had to review how our nursery provision is offered.
It is recommended that we have staggered drop off and pick up times, so that all parents aren’t gathered in our small reception area at any one time.
Families will be allocated a drop off and pick up time. If the days and times allocated are not convenient then please inform a member of staff and we will endeavour to accommodate your family needs were possible.
On arrival parents/carers must wait in the reception area, a member of staff will be available to take your child through to the nursery, or to bring them out to you at the end of the day.
A member of staff will check your child’s temperature on arrival. Those that present with a high temperature will be asked to go home and follow government guidelines. Staff will also have their temperature taken before start of shift.
Your child’s hands will be sanitised with the help of a member of staff before entering the nursery room.
Our routine and activities will be planned around being outside for the majority of the day, therefore we ask that you ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather
May we take this opportunity to thank you for wearing your mask in our reception area, thus helping to stop the spread of the virus and protecting the staff and other families.
From September we have had to alter the way in which we offer our sessions.
Please find attached the details of your child’s sessions up to July
If your child has been attending Monday and Tuesday their dates are in blocks of green.
If your child has been attending Thursday, Friday their dates are in blocks of orange.
As both inset days and the May Bank Holiday fall on a Monday, the days have been calculated so all children get exactly the same (41 days)
