Inclusion is the heart of all we do at Chatham, and in developing our curriculum for those children with additional needs we take into consideration feedback from parents and experiences outside the classroom.
We are proud to offer a wide range of co-curricular opportunities that enhance the children’s learning and well-being. These include:
- Forest School sessions that foster curiosity, and a love for nature
- Weekly trips to local parks and shops. These experiences are carefully designed to support the development of social, emotional, and life skills in real-world settings.
- Termly whole school trips: to build on families wellbeing, and children’s resilience in traveling, visiting new places and having new experiences we have spent days out together with families at Calderstones park, Greenacres Farm in North Wales & Windmill Farm in Ormskirk.
- Weekly “Time to Sign” sessions where children learn British Sign Language (BSL) through songs and rhymes, supporting inclusive communication and language development
